| Ashley Martin and April Bailey, both students at Dickson Taekwondo (608 Henslee Drive; Across from Dickson County High School), have achieved a great accomplishment. Ms. Martin and Ms. Bailey received their Choong Sil Taekwondo Federation 1st Degree Black Belt Certificates and belts, presented by Tony Lewis, owner and chief instructor. Ms. Martin said that Taekwondo has made her a better person. She hopes to continue in Taekwondo and reach a 9th Degree Black Belt and become an instructor. In the future, Ashley plans on becoming a teacher. Ms. Bailey said that Taekwondo has increased her confidence and gave her a whole new outlook on faith, mostly faith in herself, and that through God anything is possible. She said she has already reached one of her goals in Taekwondo, receiving her Black Belt. She said she has learned to be proud of herself. She said even if she loses a tournament, people are always there to tell her how proud they are of her. 615-446-5622 |
